Head of CRO-Lab operations in preclinical pharmacology
UROsphere is a preclinical contract research organization (CRO), which provides pharmacological services to the (bio)pharmaceutical industry, that combines a high-level scientific know-how, preclinical competences, and a performing technical platform. It helps its clients to develop effective drugs for genito-urinary (GU) disorders including urinary incontinence (UI), overactive bladder (OAB), Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), sexual dysfunctions and renal pathologies.
Young and with a unique position in its specialty field, UROsphere is planning its development for the forthcoming years and searches reliable personnel with high potential to work in Toulouse, France.
Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, you will drive the overall performance of the CRO-technical platform; and will be in charge of the production of scientific results, in accordance with client’s requirements and within the frame of study protocols.
Your job will be to deliver on-time data and reports to the Director of Operations. You will be responsible for client satisfaction on quality, delays and costs containment of the experiments.
You will conduct the scientific, technical and administrative management of the team; develop and manage laboratory budgets, technology plans and operational plans. You will ensure that both testing and support staff is available, trained and competent to meet the workload needs of the laboratory and adequately supervise, recruit, develop and evaluate it. You will set up, develop and/or support process improvement initiatives.
You will participate with the Director of Research in the planning and management of scientific partnerships with other (private and public) labs and serve as a senior local scientific expert.
You have a Ph.D. or equivalent experience in pharmacology and/or physiology (ideally in the preclinical urology field) and a minimum 5 years of management experience in a Contract Research Organization or within Pharmaceutical Industry (Central Lab/Specialty Provider) with GLP environment constraints. You have already shown strong problem-solving skills and are fluent in French and English languages.
